How do I browse files outside of my home directory using Ubuntu?

Submit a LOUD support request in the LCSEE Systems Service Center.

To view the different directories that can be browsed click on the Folder icon on the left side of the screen. A pop up window will open, on the right side you'll see section places and a Home icon under it. That is your home directory.

To navigate outside of your home directory, go to the section Devices and click Computer. Now you can navigate throughout the machine.

You may also launch a Terminal and manipulate files and folders using the command line. To leave you home directory:

CODE
$ cd /
