I'm a faculty member and need to add a shared office printer. What do I do?

Submit a Printing support request in the LCSEE Systems Service Center.

Faculty and staff members have access to the following printers:


Downloading Konica Minolta Drivers

To install, first download the correct drivers for your platform from the Konica Minolta website.

  1. Visit https://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/support-downloads/

  2. Under Customer Resources, click Drivers & SDS.

  3. In the Quick Search field, search for the model for the printer you are installing.

  4. Click the “Drivers” Support Category Button.

  5. Drop-down your device’s operating systems.

  6. It is recommended to choose the most recent version of the PCL or PS WHQL .zip or .exe

  7. Once downloaded, extract the .zip and see below for instructions based on your OS.

Windows Instructions

  1. Open the extracted folder from the download instructions above. Browse through the extracted folder and sub-folders and look for the Setup64 executable, right-click, and Run as administrator.

  2. Follow the on-screen prompts and at the “Select menu to setup” page choose “Install printers/MFPs” and click Next.

  3. Once the “Searching for printers/MFPs” pop-up disappears, click the radio button for “Specify the Printer/MFP Except for the Above”

  4. Click the “Refer to…” button.

  5. Choose the radio button for IPv4…

  6. Enter the full printer name from the list above for the printer you’re installing. (e.g. cl263aer.statler.wvu.edu)

  7. Click OK then click Next.

  8. Click Next on the page showing the Components to Be Installed.

  9. Click Install. The Print Driver, Print Tools, and Other Files will be installed.

  10. Click the Finish button. Your printer should now be installed.

  11. Print a test page to verify.

Mac Instructions

  1. Go to "System Preferences" on your computer

  2. From there select "Printers and Scanners"

  3. This should show you a list of printers, select the "+" button to add a new printer.

  4. In the new window that has popped up, make selection "IP"

  5. Make certain that the "Protocol:" is "HP Jetdirect - Socket" and the "Address:" is the name of the printer you would like to add.

  6. Enter the full printer name from the list above for the printer you’re installing. (e.g. cl263aer.statler.wvu.edu)

  7. The bottom of the window should have a selection labeled "Print using:" be sure to select the correct driver for this and not the generic one. When all of your fields are correct, click the add button.

  8. Print a test page to verify.
